Lyterian release new single ‘Monument’
Listen to the new single below.
Limerick-based band Lyterian have released their lead single 'Monument' ahead of their upcoming debut album.
The track, using heavy synths, drums and bass, "submerges the listener in gothic rock glory," according to a statement.
"It started with the dark and dramatic lyrics which demanded a certain musical atmosphere," said band member Sam O’Shaughnessy. "Something with weight and feeling."
The alternative band worked with mixing engineer Mark Saunders, who has collaborated with artists such as Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Cure and Depeche Mode.
"It’s the exact sound we’ve always wanted," said Lyterian.
The group released their first single 'At the Ballroom' in 2022. They have since put out three EPs, the latest being Can We Be the Band You Used to Love? released in 2024, and eight other singles.
