A couple of years ago, Turin Brakes and their folky, baggy-trousered ilk were perfectly at home within the British music scene, making plaintive pastoral music and riding on the coat-tails of Coldplay. Since then, however, Turin Brakes have found their own groove and seem to be going from strength to strength of late, having mercifully abandoned the crocodile tears for a more joyous and life-affirming outlook. Officially one of the best car-sing-along tracks of late.
