The Waterboys, Gilla Band, Julia Jacklin and more announced for Other Voices 25th anniversary
The Jameson Music Trail will also run, with shows across Dingle's pubs, cafés and venues - including BABYRAT, Child of Prague, Esmeralda Road and more.
The Waterboys, Gilla Band, Julia Jacklin and more have been announced for the 25th anniversary of the Other Voices festival at Dingle's St James' Church, from November 27 to November 29.
Lambrini Girls, Knats and Bríghde Chaimbeul are also set to be featured, with more acts to be announced in the coming weeks.
"When we began Other Voices in the little Church of St James on Dingle's Main Street, little did we think this notion of taking a photograph of Ireland's musical life would endure for 25 years," said Philip King, founder of the festival.
"Much has changed in that quarter century, and the artists and musicians in all of their diversity, who have travelled to the Dingle, have given us a store of songs: a soundtrack of what it feels like to live in a world of profound change."
Performances from St James Church will feature in a 25th anniversary series of Other Voices, broadcasting in early 2027. They will also stream live via Other Voices YouTube, with a small number of tickets to the Church recordings available through competitions to be announced soon.
Celebrations begin in Dublin with Other Voices: Home at the Guinness Storehouse on November 8. Artists the likes of Copenhagen band Iceage, Texas-based Quiet Light and West Kerry's Cormac Begley will be featured, while MayKay will return as host.
Meanwhile, The Jameson Music Trail is also set to run, with shows across Dingle's pubs, cafés and venues through the weekend of the festival - including BABYRAT, Child of Prague, Esmeralda Road, mischa and the bear and more.
Ireland's Edge, the festival's forum which brings together artists, makers and activists, also returns to the Dingle Skellig Hotel on November 27-28.
This year's theme for the discussions and showcases is Idir an Dá Linn ("in the meantime"). The first speakers will include Aisling Bea, Irvine Welsh, Gwenno, Carole Cadwalladr, Caoilfhionn Gallagher KC and more.
Access to the TV recordings at St James' Church is by competition only, through Other Voices and partners' social media and digital channels.
Performances and highlights from the weekend will be available across RTÉ television, radio and the RTÉ Player. It will also be streamed live into venues around Dingle and via Other Voices YouTube.
Tickets for the Other Voices: Home at the Guinness Storehouse performances go on sale October 27 at 1 pm here, with all proceeds going to the Guinness Dublin 8 Community Fund.
Tickets for the Jameson Music Trail go on sale Friday at 12 pm here.
