The Slits for Dublin
The punky reggae party is taking place in Crawdaddy.
Punk-era legends The Slits make a rare trip over the Irish Sea on May 6 for a show in Dublin Crawdaddy. Tickets are €16.
Although part of the London ’76 uprising, the all-female band were more in thrall to dub reggae than they were Iggy and the Dolls, with their debut Cut album produced by UK-residing Jamaican legend Dennis Bovell.
Still featuring original members Tessa Pollitt and Ari Up, who has John Lydon for a stepdad, the band returned to the fray last year with their third studio outing, Trapped Animal.
