The Nobodies
“Today I’m dirty, I want to be pretty,” howls the black-clad one
The man your parents love to hate comes on like Blizzard Of Oz-era Ozzie Osbourne (the man who my parents loved to hate) with a demi-ballad about, wait for it, disaffection and feeling like an outsider. “Today I’m dirty, I want to be pretty,” howls the black-clad one, while the guitars grind, the drums pound and the melody remains pretty much in check. Surprisingly restrained and surprisingly good.
However, the CD also includes Manson’s infamous Bible Speech from Denver, Colorado, which makes more, ahem, colourful listening.
