The National Wax Museum Plus - 1st Birthday Party
The celebrations take place in Foster Place, Temple Bar tomorrow at 10am
One year after its opening, Museum management and staff will be joined in the Museum's new Foster Place location by pupils from schools around the city to mark the exciting occasion.
Philomena Lynott, mother of the late, great Phil Lynott, will also be on hand to help blow out the candles. The morning promises to be a fun-filled affair with a visit from the real life Alice In Wonderland and the Mad Hatter, party games, music, goodie bags and most importantly birthday cake and balloons.
“Since opening in October 2009 in the historical Armoury building the response has been fantastic," says Museum Director Paddy Dunning. "Families, school tours, tourists, both national and international, have passed through and they haven’t been disappointed. The National Wax Museum Plus is about learning while interacting but most importantly it is about educating through fun and entertainment.”
Journalists and photographer are welcome to come to the museum for a photo call and interviews with Museum director and staff at 10am tomorrow October 7.
