The Mighty Stef entertains birthday boy Geldof
Fresh from his public interview at The Music Show last weekend, legendary Boomtown Rats frontman Bob Geldof concluded his birthday celebrations last night by popping down to The Workman's Club to check out The Mighty Stef.
Bob - born on October 5 - was accompanied by his partner Jeanne Marine, BP Fallon and friends.
Reports from the frontline suggest that Bob was hugely impressed by Stef's 'beautiful voice' – an assessment with which the Hot Press undercover agents in attendance would have to wholeheartedly agree – and, after the show, was full of compliments for The Mighty Stef's blistering set.
Stef entertained the birthday boy and guests with a selection of live favourites and a selection of numbers from his forthcoming album TMS Meets The Baptists, which will be available nationwide on November 26. Bob Geldof has his own new record on the way. Entitled How To Compose Popular Songs That Will Sell, it is scheduled for release early in the new year.
