Funny, I thought this came out years ago. But apparently The Man Who Doesn’t Want To Be Cliff Richard decided to wait for Paul Brady’s very similar version to become imprinted on the collective consciousness, not to mention the song becoming a sizeable country hit for Brooks & Dunn before finally deciding to put it out himself. There’s confidence in your songwriting! On the other hand maybe it’s a not-so-subtle message to Louis.
