The Libertines: Working on New Album

Carl Barat and Pete Doherty are back, preparing to record their first album since 2004's The Libertines.
The band split shortly after that album, reunited briefly in 2010, and officially reformed last April. Doherty has completed treatment for drug addiction, and the band plans to record the album at Karma Studios in Thailand.
A photo of Doherty and Barat working on the new music was posted to their Facebook page yesterday, telling fans to "Expect album announcement soon."
The Libertines will play at 3Arena in Dublin on July 9, as part of a series of reunion shows throughout Europe and the UK.
