There’s something inherently grating about The Strokes’ dedication to being studiously cool, yet all is forgiven when they can bang out such accomplished tunes. It’s pretty much standard Strokes fare – indentikit guitars, Julian’s laconic vocals, and humalong riffs as skinny sounding as the boys themselves. Not too sure of the abrupt ending of the song, though…still, as an added bonus, the B-Side is a live (and dare I say, kicking) version of The Clash’s ‘Clampdown’.
