Take The Long Road And Walk It

The latest bunch of attitude-laden guitar types from the UK, The Music are a surprisingly retro bunch – all ‘70s riffs, classic rock vocals and, in one particularly strange scat singing section, more than a pinch of Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler – wrapped up in a nice indie-friendly package.

The approach recalls a young Verve which is no bad thing. The Music are still striving to match their ambitions, but ‘Take The Long Road And Walk It’ suggests they may be on the way to something quite special.
