Sylvia Saint release debut EP
As the first in the series of "Cork as European City of Culture"-sponsored EPs, Sylvia Saint release 9 Bars Of Fury
As if nicking their name from the Czech Republic’s most notorious porn star wasn’t reason enough to love ‘em, Cork rockers Sylvia Saint have delivered big time with their debut 9 Bars Of Fury EP, which comprises ‘Beaten By A Girl’, ‘Apology’, ‘Tickprease’ and the chavtastic ‘Wrist Bands & Fake Tans’.
Formerly three-quarters of Leeside junglists Bass Odyssey, they recorded the opus last November in Westmeath’s Grouse Lodge studios, with System Of A Down and Sum 41 man John O’Mahony presiding over the final mix.
It’s the first in the series of Summer Noises EPs, which are being released to celebrate Cork’s tenure as the 2005 European Capital of Culture. Also on their way are four-trackers by Rest, The Shades and Waiting Room.
