When Avril Lavigne worked for the mass consumer as easily digestible teen angsty pop rock, the record companies, naturally, took notice. One of these tycoons invented these guys to do it for the boys. You know the story. Over slick glossy production, with whatever little bit of talent they have polished to within an inch of its life to make a radio/user friendly rock for beginners that marketed angsty teens can listen to while wearing their ripped t-shirts from Top Shop. Jimmy Eat World it ain’t.
