Sure Thing
Ultra-cool, jazzy noodling and doodling from St. Germain, ‘Sure Thing’ is not as in-yer-trousers as some of his other compositions, notably ‘Rose Rouge’, a kicking remix of which is included here.
Ultra-cool, jazzy noodling and doodling from St. Germain, ‘Sure Thing’ is not as in-yer-trousers as some of his other compositions, notably ‘Rose Rouge’, a kicking remix of which is included here. What ‘Sure Thing’ lacks in immediacy, however, it more than makes up for in sheer class: any track that can sample Miles Davis as well as John Lee Hooker’s ‘Harry’s Philosophy’ doesn’t have to try too hard for credibility and when it’s joined by an effortless sense of funky, mellow charm, it’s impossible not to let yourself be slowly seduced.
