With the combination of the Live Performance Support Scheme and the success of the Government's test gigs at the Iveagh Gardens and the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, we are on the verge of a huge explosion of music activity. As part of our Summer of Music 2021 special feature, we're taking a look at some of the most eagerly anticipated events of the summer...
Music Sounds Better With You
Where: Set Theatre, Langton House Hotel, John St, Kilkenny
When: August 5–29
Who: Jape, Soda Blonde, Cathy Davey, Malojian, Lisa Hannigan, David Keenan
What: The aptly titled Music Sounds Better With You celebrates the return of live music in front of an audience with a series of epic events this August – taking place outdoors at the Set Theatre’s Courtyard Stage. Following performances from Jerry Fish, Paul Noonan and 49th & Main earlier this month, you can still look forward to an exciting selection of gigs from some of the top artists in the country over the weeks ahead, spanning an wide range of styles and genres. Stay tuned for the return of indoor gigs at the Set Theatre later this year, with Jack Lukeman, Hermitage Green, Villagers, Robert Grace, HamsandwicH, Niamh Regan and more announced for October and November.
