Tinariwen announce David Keenan as special guest for their 3Olympia show
You can find the tickets below.
Tinariwen have announced David Keenan as a special guest for their 3Olympia show, set to take place on May 25.
The gig comes as part of the group's The Hoggar tour, named after the Hoggar Mountains in Algeria where the band was founded.
They first shared the news about the tour in October 2025. The Dublin concert marks the band's first gig in Ireland since performing at the Olympia theatre and the Galway Art's Festival in 2019.
Their tenth studio album, also named Hoggar, was released last March. The record consists of eleven-tracks that focus on the current social and political issues affecting the Tuareg people and northern Mali.
Tinariwen are a collective of Tuareg musicians from the Sahara region of southern Algeria and northern Mali, that combine traditional Tuareg and African music with Western rock music. Their sound is characterised as the 'desert blues', a style of music they themselves call 'assuf' which also means 'longing' or 'homesickness' in the Tamasheq language.
David Keenan is currently on his Modern Mythologies Irish tour. The musician has been sharing his stories from the road with Hot Press via series Dispatches from the Bóthar. His most recent shows took place at Dublin's Whelan's on April 14 and 15. Read more about them directly from Keenan here.
Tickets for Tinariwen's 3Olympia show are on sale now here.
