Bruce Dickinson announces venue upgrade for Dublin show

Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson has announced a venue upgrade for his Dublin show on June 16, 2027, set for 3Olympia.

The stop, previously to be held at The Academy, comes as part of a string of headline shows and festival appearances across the UK and Europe in summer and autumn 2027 for his PsychoGod tour. The run also includes a gig at Belfast's Ulster Hall on June 14.

These performances will be the first solo shows by Dickinson since he wrapped up his The Mandrake Project Tour in Brazil in September 2025 after 71 shows across 3 continents.

His backing band, comprising guitarists Chris Declerq and Philip Näslund, bassist Tanya O'Callaghan, keyboardist Mistheria and drummer Dave Moreno, will join him on the tour.

"What we do is real and that’s so important right now," Dickinson commented. "A real drummer, a real bass player, real guitarists, real keyboards – AI can only copy, it can only pretend. It can never be in love, and it can never play. This band? They can really play!"

Dickinson is also set to release a new album with his solo band in early 2027.

The English heavy metal artist first joined Iron Maiden in 1981. He performed with the band at Malahide Castle, Dublin in 2025 for their 50th anniversary tour.

Back in 1990, he began to explore a solo path with album Tattooed Millionaire, followed by The Chemical Wedding in 1998 and four further solo studio albums.

In 2024, he released The Mandrake Project, debuting at No. 3 on the UK Official Albums Chart, No. 1 on the UK Independent Albums Chart and No. 1 on the German and Swedish albums charts.

Tickets are currently on sale for Belfast, while Dublin tickets go on sale November 12 at 10 am here.
