An increasingly popular live combo about town, this Dublin-based quartet combine angst and melancholia in almost equal measure on this four-tracker. The frantic ‘Fred Astaire’ boasts some tasty guitar playing, seriously guttural singing and angry vocals (e.g. "why am I so depressed, upset, rejected, low down, neglected.") Demonstrating a gentler side ‘Spanish Sky’ is a tender duet between co-vocalists Dave Conway and Siobhan McNulty, while ‘Me And You’ simmers somewhere in between the two. Well worth checking out.
