Strypes for The Academy

Having impressed early-comers at Blur’s Kilmainham gig, The Strypes play their biggest Dublin show to date on September 19 in The Academy where tickets are €25.
The gig follows on from the September 6 release here of their debut Snapshot album, the cover art for which is revealed above.
Last night was another biggie for the Cavan four-piece when they got to exchange hugs with one of their heroes, Wilko Johnson, at the Oysterfleet Hotel on Canvey Island.
The legendary Dr Feelgood and Blockheads guitarist has terminal cancer, but is still going about his R&B business as raucously as he can.
