Ever since the days of One Dove, Allison has been somewhat the forgotten woman of the dancey rock world, heaped with critical acclaim yet failing to make much of a dent on the public consciousness.

‘Strung Out’ (recorded with a few moonlighting members of Mercury Rev) could go someway towards redressing the balance. A feisty rocker not a million miles away from her work with Death In Vegas, it doesn’t need the pointless dance mixes. Otherwise, this is pretty neat.
