Another band returning after something of a hiatus, Catatonia – even though she’d hate me for saying this – are really Cerys Mathews’ backing band. That’s okay though since the Welsh chanteuse is on fine form, equally cursed with one of the most fey-sweet voices in female rock and blessed with a throat-wrenching roar when desired. A grower.
