Steve Earle headlines Belfast festival
Alabama 3 and Liam O Maonlai are also on the bill.
Country rock legend – and lest we forget, author of ‘Galway Girl’ – Steve Earle plays the ChilliFest Marquee, Custom House Square, Belfast on September 27. Tickets are £25.
By then Earle will have released his new Townes Van Zandt tribute album, Townes, which finds him grappling with the likes of 'To Live Is To Fly', 'Mr. Mudd & Mr. Gold', 'Loretta' and 'Lungs'. The last on the list features the for once understated guitar work of Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello.
The show is part of the Open House Festival, which runs from September 23 to 27 and also features HP’s old chums Alabama 3, Foy Vance, Agnostic Mountain Gospel Choir, Red Stick Ramblers, Buille, Liam O Maonlai, Gypsy Hotel and more.
