Opening with an anthemic wall of guitars and a thumping, don’t-fuck-with-me rhythm section, ‘Spitting Games’ is a song on a mission, taking no prisoners as it blasts its way through cobwebbed standard-rock-band territory. Refreshing yet familiar, sweet but with balls and rockin’ in the best possible way, Snow Patrol are definitely on to a winner. Cracking stuff.
