Sorry announce Dublin show
The London alt-rockers will play The Academy on February 18.
London alt-rock band Sorry have announced a headline show in Dublin’s Academy for Wednesday, February 18 as part of their upcoming Cosplay tour.
The tour comes in support of the band’s upcoming album, Cosplay, out November 7 via Domino.
Speaking of the inspiration behind the record, Sorry said: “We are lost in time, we don’t have details to grab onto, nothing lasts forever. We just wear things from the past as they are the only thing to hold onto. We are all in an act of Cosplaying something that doesn’t exist”.
Cosplay is the follow-up 2022’s Anywhere but Here and includes their previously released singles ‘Waxwing’, ‘Jetplane’ and ‘Jive’, alongside their new track ‘Echoes’, recently released with an accompanying music video.
Much of Cosplay was co-produced by band members Asha Lorenz and Louis O’Bryen. ‘Jive’ and ‘Echoes’ were made in collaboration with producer Dan Carey.
Formed in the mid-2010s, Sorry released their debut album 925 in 2020, which featured the hit single ‘Starstruck’ and reached No. 13 on the UK Independent Albums Chart and No. 49 on the Scottish Albums Chart.
Tickets for Sorry’s show at The Academy sell for €25.50 and are available from this Friday, September 5 here.
