Tindersticks announce new album Dog Roses
They will perform shows at Belfast's Mandela Hall on May 8 and Dublin's Vicar Street on May 9.
English alt-rock band Tindersticks have announced a new album Dog Roses, out March 12, 2027.
Alongside the news comes the release of single 'Loving, leaving' as a preview to the record.
"Most things I have learned, that I thought I knew about making albums proved to be of little use when making Dog Roses," said lead singer Stuart Staples.
"I have always had a strong sense of time and place in my writing - but sometimes while making this album it felt like trying to catch only a fragrance or the feeling of the knot in my stomach, or catching a glance of myself in a mirror - the 1000 questions, thoughts, emotions you can feel in one moment."
Produced and recorded by Staples, Dog Roses marks their fifteenth studio album and follows 2024's Soft Tissue.
Tindersticks will embark on a UK and European tour come spring 2027 in support of the record, with shows at Belfast's Mandela Hall on May 8 and Dublin's Vicar Street on May 9.
The band was formed in Nottingham in the early 1990s, led by the singing and songwriting of Staples. They dropped their self-titled debut album in 1993, followed by their second self-titled record in 1995, which reached No. 13 on the UK Albums Chart.
They released six albums before Staples embarked on a solo career, then reunited briefly in 2006 and more permanently the following year. The band have also recorded several film soundtracks, working closely with French director Claire Denis.
The current lineup consists of Staples, drummer Earl Harvin, bassist Dan McKinna, instrumentalist David Boulter and guitarist Neil Fraser. For the upcoming album they were joined by special guests Dave Okumu on electric guitar, Julian Siegel on saxophone and Lucy Wilkins on strings.
Tickets for their Irish shows are on sale here.
