Simon Cowell’s star-studded charity cover of “Bridge Over Troubled Water” makes it into the top twenty-five in its first week.
Following the tragic fire in London's Grenfell tower which resulted in the loss of over 79 lives, Simon Cowell brought together a cast of over 50 artists to sing “Bridge Over Troubled Water”. The project included performances from Robbie Williams, Pete Townshend, Stormzy, Jessie J, Louis Tomlinson, Roger Daltrey and more. The emotional video for the track was released on Wednesday. Since the charity single dropped, it climbed to number twenty-five in the Irish charts in its first week.
Elsewhere, DJ Khaled’s new track “Wild Thoughts” featuring Rihanna, has hit number fourteen in it’s first week, with the collab track from Harris, Pharrell, Perry and Big Sean in the middle at number seventeen.
With Bieber’s visit to Dublin this past week, “Despacito” is still holding fast at number one, with “2U”, the David Guetta track also featuring the Biebs at number eight.
