Singer McEvoy To Open Art Exhibition
Singer-songwriter Eleanor McEvoy, currently promoting her new compilation, Singled Out, will officially open the exhibition Where Birds Abound by Wexford-based painter David Daly at the Wexford Wildfowl Reserve in Ardcavan on Saturday, October 17 at 4 pm.
Where Birds Abound is part of the Wexford Opera Festival programme of events, and will include a selection of Daly’s recently-completed oil paintings, as well as his renowned watercolours.
The exhibition will run from Sunday, October 18 until Monday October 26, and will be the 13th time Daly has exhibited at the Pump House venue which is located on the Wexford Wildfowl Reserve.
According to Daly, “In the past, my work has generally been in watercolours, but last year I responded to a growing desire to expand into other styles of painting and presented my oil paintings for the first time. I was so encouraged by the overwhelmingly positive response that I have decided to include both oils and watercolours again this year. I am, of course, delighted that Eleanor McEvoy has agreed to take time out of her busy schedule to launch this year’s exhibition.”
The exhibition Where Birds Abound will be open from 11am to 4pm every day.
