The event has been sadly called off due to "unforeseen and unchangeable circumstances"
ShamRock Festival organisers have confirmed that sadly, this year's July event is cancelled. The Cavan tribute festival, which was set to welcome Classic Beatles, Guns 2 Roses, Coldplace, Oasish and Greendate, as well as comedians PJ Gallagher, Jason Byrne and Jon Kenny, has been called off due to "unforeseen and unchangeable circumstances".
The official announcement says:
"The organisers of the ShamRock Music Festival are very sorry to announce that this year’s event has had to be cancelled due to unforeseen and unchangeable circumstances.
After two years of hard work and determination, it is with huge disappointment that cancellation of ShamRock became the only course available. We would like to thank the hundreds of people involved with the festival for their support and effort that would certainly have led to the festival being a huge success. We would also like to give particular thanks and apologies to all of the acts that were due to play at the festival and our partners for their encouragement and support."
