The Rolling Stones cancel plans for 2026 tour
Their most recent tour was across North America in 2024.
The Rolling Stones have announced they will be cancelling plans for a 2026 tour.
While the tour was never officially confirmed, the influential rock group's touring pianist Chuck Leavell, also known as a member of The Allman Brothers Band, teased the plans to tour in the UK and Europe last month. He additionally mentioned the band was almost finished creating a new album.
Sources close the Stones revealed to Variety that the group would not be going through with the tour, due to 81 year old guitarist Keith Richards' inability to 'commit' to it. Richards is one of the founding members of The Rolling Stones and additionally playing a key role in the band's songwriting.
The band last toured in 2024, following the release of their latest studio album Hackney Diamonds. Their 2024 tour saw an estimated revenue of £185.1million, making it to the #6 on the top 10 highest-grossing music world tours of that year.
