Scullion announce new album recorded with John Reynolds
The first single is a cover of John Prine’s ‘I Remember Everything’
Scullion have announced a new album, neither a title nor a release date has yet been revealed.
The announcement comes alongside the release of a new single, a cover of the John Prine song 'I Remember Everything', featuring Pauline Scanlon. The track is currently available exclusively to radio stations.
The album was produced by John Reynolds – known for his work with the likes of Sinéad O'Connor and Damien Dempsey – at Big Tree Studio. The band described the recording process as “deeply creative and energising”.
The folk-rock group have a career spanning more than four decades. Founded in the mid-1970s, they quickly established themselves as one of Ireland’s most famous folk acts. This release will be their first album since 2022’s Time Has Made a Change in Me, which marked their first studio album in a decade.
Reviewing Time Has Made a Change in Me, Hot Press wrote that “their sound has continued to expand, courageously and sensitively, with the decades, as Sonny Condell, Philip King and Robbie Overson allow themselves to be humbled by the influence of a whole new set of voices and perspectives.”
