Santa Cruz (You're Not That Far)

The backlash has begun already and the Blackrock Beach Boys have been criticised in some quarters for indulging in way too much California dreaming for their own good. But let’s face it ‘Sandyford (You’re Not That Far)’ doesn’t have quite the same ring to it, does it? While not quite as instantly hummable as ‘One Horse Town’ or ‘Big Sur’, the relative complexity of this multi-tempo-ed slice of melodic sunshine proves conclusively that the sunny southsiders are greater than the sum of their record collections.
