The awards night was aplenty with exclusive movie trailers (Suicide Squad, Captain America and Fantastic Beasts) and performances from the biggest stars in pop, including Ariana Grande and Halsey. The night opened as it meant to continue, with over-the-top props, recreations of 2016's biggest films, psychedelic lights, tween screams and bromance overload between Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson.

Aside from all the theatrical trimmings that bombarded the night, there was also some awards given out. Here is the full list of the 2016 MTV Movie Awards Winners;
