Rory Gallagher's got the Ryanair Blues
The ex-Revs man's hilarious new song is causing quite a stir
We've all experienced it, now Donegal singer-songwriter Rory Gallagher has finally set the emotional turmoil of being trapped in a tincan thousands of feet above ground to song.
His new laugh-out-loud demo 'Ryanair Blues' has been picking up considerable airplay over the past week on stations nationwide, including 2fm, Today FM and BBC Radio Ulster. The song is a humorous depiction of a trip to Lanzarote (where Gallagher is currently based) with the eponymous local airline.
You can download the track now by going to the Vox Pop Website.
Since the break up of the Revs, Gallagher has gone on to release a debut solo album God Bless the Big Bang in 2008, described in the pages of Hot Press as "triumphant." He is currently working on the follow-up.
