Reggae legend Dillinger for Dublin stop-off
Ireland’s reggae starved masses are in for a treat on September 17 when Dillinger plays the Dublin Button Factory. Admission is €24.50.
Namechecked alongside Leroy Smart and Delroy Wilson in The Clash’s ‘White Man In Hammersmith Palais’, the 55-year-old Jamaican is renowned for his potty-mouthed lyrics (‘Crabs In My Pants’) and fondness for mind alteration (‘Cokane In My Brain’).
Joining him for the night are The Abyssinians, a vocal three-piece who’ve achieved mythic status with songs like ‘Satta Massagana’ and ‘Y Mas Gan’, which are partially sung in the Ethiopian language of Amharic.
