In honour of Pulp starring on the cover the this month's issue of Hot Press, Hot Press Classics returns with a new episode focusing on Pulp's 1995 Britpop classic Different Class.
In this new edition of the podcast, Paul Nolan and Killian Murphy discuss the group's largely overlooked early career, Jarvis Cocker's star factor as well as his talent as a lyricist, and Pulp's renowned talent as a live act.
Elsewhere, they discuss the cultural importance of the album's main anthem 'Common People', the central theme of revenge in Different Class, and the group's position within the Britpop movement.

To round up the episode, Nolan pulls up an extract from Will Russel's most recent interview with Cocker for the May issue of Hot Press, where the legendary singer discusses the creation of Different Class, Pulp's upcoming record More, and the passing of Steve Mackey and how it impacted the band.
