James Blunt releases new single 'Circles'
The artist also made his Celebrity Traitors debut last night, joining a lineup that features Joanne McNally, Rob Beckett, Romesh Ranganathan and others.
English singer-songwriter James Blunt has released 'Circles', taken from his upcoming album, Airplane Mode, out November 6 via Atlantic Records.
Blunt and his band will take the new album on a European tour early next year, with a show in Dublin's 3Arena on March 30, 2027, followed by a stop in Belfast's The O2 on March 31.
"'Circles' harks back to the inspiration I had for my very first album, of the music from the late '90s and early '00s," Blunt said. "This is what I wanted my music to sound like, and it's who I am as a result."
The upcoming record will also include previously-released singles 'Weight Of It All' and 'Tastes Like Summer', which he described as a song that "binds the joy of summer to the joy of being attracted to someone."
Meanwhile, the artist made his Celebrity Traitors debut last night, joining a lineup that features James Acaster, Rob Beckett, Romesh Ranganathan, Joe Lycett, Joanne McNally and others.
In 2024, he celebrated the 20th anniversary of his debut album, Back to Bedlam, with a special edition of the record. This followed Blunt's 2023 record Who We Used To Be.
Back to Bedlam reached No. 1 on the UK Official Albums Chart for 10 weeks upon its release in 2005, and became one of the best-selling albums in UK chart history. Every one of his seven albums has made it into the Top 10 of the UK Official Albums Chart.
Blunt has also released four Top 10 singles. His single, 'You're Beautiful', released in 2005, gained Blunt massive success. It spent five weeks at No. 1, becoming the top-selling single of the year in the UK and still remaining a popular song.
He has won two Brit Awards, two Ivor Novello Awards and has received five Grammy nominations - all for Back to Bedlam and 'You're Beautiful'.
Tickets for his Irish shows are available here.
