James Blunt announces Belfast SSE Arena show next February

English singer songwriter James Blunt has announced his Back to Bedlam 20th anniversary UK tour, set to kick off on February 11 in Belfast’s SSE Arena.

The tour accompanies the release of his forthcoming remastered version of Back to Bedlam, which included the hit single ‘You’re Beautiful’. It has become one of the top ten best-selling albums of the noughties with over 17 million copies sold worldwide and two Brit Awards, two Ivor Novello Awards and receiving five Grammy nominations.

The remastered record is set to come out on October 11, twenty years to the day of its initial release.

It will include previously unreleased demos of the core songs from the album, plus previously unreleased songs from the Bedlam era. It will come out in a single red recycled colour vinyl format, as well as a 2 CD, 6-panel softpak with 16-page booklet, and a digital version.

Speaking of the remastered version of Back to Bedlam, Blunt said: “I’ve released seven studio albums, but Back To Bedlam was the one people actually bought. So on its twentieth anniversary, the record label and I thought we should repackage it with some early demos, and milk it for all it’s worth,” he joked. “It was one of the biggest selling albums of the Noughties, so here’s hoping it makes a dent in the 20’s.”

Blunt’s Back to Bedlam 20th anniversary UK tour follows his sold-out Dublin show at the National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks, on August 24.

Tickets for James Blunt’s Belfast show at SSE Arena are priced from £40.00 and will be available from Friday March 31 here.
