They’re on the same label as Liberty X, Grandaddy and Stereophonics, but the Icarus Line are – thankfully – a different breed of band. Sounding dirty, sexy and downright nasty, ‘Penance Sioree’ is packed to the brim with guitars so filthy and chaotic, they make BRMC sound like the Tweenies. Most likely to thrill and delight those old and wise enough to recall the antics of Motocaster and Girls Against Boys, or those currently lamenting the absence of the sorely missed At The Drive-In.
