Pearl Jam talk new album details
Seattle veterans are "over halfway through" recording...
It's an exciting time for Pearl Jam fans with the release of much-anticipated Cameron Crowe-directed documentary Pearl Jam Twenty and now the news that the grunge legends are deep into the recording process for the follow-up to 2009's Backspacer.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, bassist Jeff Ament revealed that the band are 'over halfway through' recording the currently untitled forthcoming full-length and that longtime producer Brendan O'Brien is once again behind the desk.
"We're at least at the halfway point," says bassist Jeff Ament. "The first handful of songs we had are a great, great start. It's been really important for us that in the middle of all this [the release of Pearl Jam Twenty], we got together and recorded a bunch of songs. It sort of gave us a breath to go, 'Okay, we can go back and get ready for the show and book and movie and all that stuff'."
