Paddy's Lament
This traditional ballad is perfect for Sinéad, touching on some of her favourite topics of famine, emigration and anti-imperialist sentiment. Her always amazing voice is accompanied by a delicate melody picked out on violin by Cora Venus Lunny and on bouzouki by Donal Lunny, as the singer combines a passionate comment on modern-day war-mongering while beautifully capturing the spirit of times past.
