Based in Birr, Co Offaly, the OFFline Film Festival kicks off its fourth edition next month with what promises to be the biggest event to date with a host of screenings, competitions and workshops all scheduled.
New this year is the Drive-In Cinema which will provide a unique retro atmosphere never before seen in the Irish midlands. The exterior of the Country Arms Hotel will provide the backdrop to classic films such as Jaws and The Big Lebowski.
Filmmakers can take part in several in-depth workshops overseen by some of the best and brightest in the Irish Film Industry. This includes a Prosthetics and Make-up workshop with a Halloween theme. There will also be a series of Q&A sessions from International Filmmakers which will cover many aspects of filmmaking techniques.
