The Divine Comedy have added two Irish dates for their 2026 European tour, including a stop in Belfast’s Waterfront Hall on March 27 and another on March 28 in Dublin’s National Concert Hall.
The gigs will follow the release of their eagerly awaited upcoming album Rainy Sunday Afternoon, out September 19 – their first LP since 2019's Office Politics.
Recorded at Abbey Road in 2024, Rainy Sunday Afternoon – The Divine Comedy's 13th album – finds Neil Hannon in a 'reflective mood, contemplating the past and the present with a hopeful nod to the future.'

Since the release of Office Politics, Neil has been kept busy – with the remastering and re-releasing of The Divine Comedy's entire back catalogue in 2020; a new Best Of compilation, Charmed Life, released in 2022; and his work on the original songs for the global blockbuster Wonka.
To celebrate the release of the upcoming album, The Divine Comedy will embark on an October UK tour before kicking off their European tour in February 2026.
Tickets for The Divine Comedy’s Belfast and Dublin shows go on sale this Friday, May 30, at 10am here [Belfast] and here [Dublin].
