Nitelite EP

This Dublin outfit exude a timeess charm – the kind of stuff that would have gone down a storm in the Baggot Inn circa 1981. Opening track ‘Sands’ rolls along on a melody that recalls Wet Wet Wet’s ‘Sweet Little Mystery’ with some John Cougar Mellencamp bar-band rock thrown in while the title track rocks even harder. The overall demo feel of this drags it down a bit – albeit nothing a few quid in the budget wouldn’t fix.
