New award for ambient music launched
Do you make ambient music and fancy a cash prize?
South Tipperary Arts Centre is launching the Varese Award which will acknowledge outstanding achievement in the field of ambient music.
According to the guidelines, "pieces should be between 5 and 20 minutes in length, with composers identifying a location for which it's intended – shopping centre, factory floor etc."
To enter you have to be Irish or resident here and willing to blow every cent of the €500 prize money.
