Nell Mescal, Cian Ducrot and Kingfishr to support Dermot Kennedy at Thomond Park

Taking to social media this morning, Dermot Kennedy has announced his support acts for his eagerly anticipated run of shows at Thomond Park in Limerick this summer: Cian Ducrot, Nell Mescal and Kingfishr.

Cian will support the Dublin singer-songwriter at all three shows (July 7, 8 & 9). Nell will play on the Saturday (July 8), with Kingfishr performing on the Sunday (July 9).

"I can’t believe this is real," recent Hot Press interviewee Nell wrote online. "When I first heard 'An Evening I Will Not Forget' years ago I became the biggest fan ever, I would post covers and put lyrics on my wall and I queued up for barrier at his show in 2019 and cried the entire night...

"I put a photo of his show on my vision board and now I get to play in Thomond Park supporting... this is so cool."

Nell, who released her latest single, 'In My Head', in March, was also added to the Electric Picnic (September 1-3) line-up this week.

Cian Ducrot is set to release his debut album, Victory, on July 21. In addition to a string of sold-out Irish dates this summer, he embarks on a major tour of North America in the autumn.

Flying the flag for Limerick at Thomond Park are local band Kingfishr, who release their new single, 'Anyway', this Friday. The group are also set to tour with George Ezra this summer.

The first two nights of Dermot Kennedy's Thomond Park run of shows are sold-out – but there are remaining tickets for the third and final date on Sunday, July 9.
