The shortlist for the 2025 RTÉ Choice Music Prize Irish Song of the Year, which is run in association with IMRO and IRMA, has been revealed live on 2FM Afternoon with Tracy Clifford today.
The shortlist for Irish Song of the Year includes :
Amble – Schoolyard Days
Cliffords – My Favourite Monster
CMAT – Take a Sexy Picture of Me
Cian Ducrot – Little Dreaming
Florence Road – Break the Girl
Fontaines D.C. – It’s Amazing to be Young
Jazzy & Ankhoï – Closer To The Floor
KhakiKid – Date Nite
Kingfishr – Diamonds & Roses
SPRINTS - Descartes
The live Choice Music Prize ceremony is scheduled for March 5 at Vicar Street in Dublin, and tickets are currently available.
This year's event also features awards for Irish Album of the Year, Irish Artist of the Year, and Classic Irish Album, alongside other categories.
“I love this time of year when we get to celebrate the very best in Irish music through this year's RTÉ Choice Music Prize," says RTÉ 2FM’s Tracy Clifford. "The albums, the songs and the artists we produce in this country are world class. After another excellent year for Irish artists and their music, there is so much to look forward to right across the categories and as usual, some real gems to discover.
