Amble share video for 'Last Rites' starring House of Guinness actor Seamus O'Hara

Amble have shared a new video for their single ‘Last Rites’, starring House of Guinness actor Seamus O’Hara.

The video follows O’Hara, who is painted in clown makeup and dressed in a suit, walking around a funfair and interacting with attendees and performers.

The indie-folk trio released ‘Last Rites’ on August 14 as part of the announcement for their upcoming album Love and All Its Wares, out January 29, 2027.

‘Last Rites’ followed the release of ‘The Swell’, which dropped in June. It was produced by Philip Weinrobe, who also worked with the likes of Adrienne Lenker of Big Thief, Tomberlin and Theo Katzman.

“‘Last Rites’ is about finding your true self in the chaos of life,” said Amble of the song. “When the internal voice in your head and the external voices around you are pulling in different directions, retaining a true version of yourself becomes increasingly difficult.

“However, as these periods descend into further confusion and uncertainty, there is always an inner belief that the true self will return. ‘He was a good man, give it time.’ The extended outro embodies the message of this song. It is hard to see the truth in a chaotic world, but it is there!”

Next summer, the band will play Belfast’s Belsonic Festival on June 23, Malahide Castle in Dublin on June 24 and Limerick’s Thomond Park on July 3.

This past weekend, they performed a set on the main stage of Electric Picnic.

“Their pop-tinged folk blends traditional Irish roots with a polished, radio-friendly approach reminiscent of Mumford & Sons or The Lumineers,” reads Hot Press’s review of their performance. “The lyrics deal in vulnerability, love, loss and rural nostalgia, drawing on themes that feel as old as the landscape they’re singing about. And sometimes, that’s enough.”
