Nancy Sinatra to play Dublin this summer
Nancy Sinatra announces Irish gig
Get your walkin' boots on because Vietnam pin-up and 'first lady of rock and roll', Nancy Sinatra, is to play Dublin's Vicar Street.
The hugely influential rebel-chick singer; having achieved a nearly 40-year legacy in rock and roll, known for her many hits and collaborations (not to mention a somewhat notorious father), Nancy Sinatra is rarely out of the public domain. For Kill Bill Vol. 2 director Quentin Tarantino chose Sinatra's cover of the song 'Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)' as the theme for the movie's opening credits, saying "Nancy's version is so soulful. She sings it like poetry. It gives you a new respect for what a wonderful vocalist she is".
She currently has 16 albums out, and there is promise of a comprehensive box set on the way.
Nancy Sinatra will play Vicar Street this June 18th, tickets are €46 from usual outlets.
