Darker, more direct and heartfelt stuff, from Sweden’s best band since Abba. It’s nice, for a change, to hear something clever and idiosyncratically played, yet not at all superficial. This is because The Cardigans know when you fuck with love, you always end up losing. The romance has ended. The favourite game is over. The Cardigans, however, have just begun.
