Musicians for Marriage Equality gig postponed
A number of artists have recording commitments.
Musicians for MarriagEquality, which was scheduled to take place in Vicar Street on Thursday, October 1 is being postponed. The decision was made due to the unavailability of some of the acts because of recording commitments.
Buzz O’Neill, Musicians for Marriage Equality Promoter said, “Firstly, to the people who have purchased tickets, you will be contacted by Ticketmaster and a full refund will be given. This goes without saying.”
Buzz continued, “We would like to stress that a new date will be announced shortly, and the full line up made available. Interest has been incredible and though it is disappointing that the gig is being rescheduled, this is to ensure that the right mix is there on the night and ticket holders get value for money and hear some amazing music. We hope that people understand why this decision was made and continue to support us.”
Musicians for MarriagEquality is a collective of Irish musicians and people who work in the music industry who support equal marriage rights for same-sex couples. Notable acts have been signed up for the night and once the main act is secured a notification will be sent out immediately.
